The beach is probably the most frequently visited vacation destination in the world. People prefer beach vacations more than any other type of vacation such as safaris or visiting theme parks. The first time I went to Ecuador, I discovered the country had converted to the U.S. Dollar. Very convenient, especially so when I found that one dollar would buy a nice lunch. On my first trip to Ecuador I discovered that the official currency of is the U.S. Dollar. A nice surprize, since I thought I'd have to find a place to exchange money at midnight in Quito. Not only could I use the dollar bills in my pocket, but just one of them would buy a three-course lunch at a clean restaurant. I fell in love with Ecuador immediately....
